The Bharatheeya Vichara Kendram and the BIAR has been approved as the study center by the IGNOU. The study centre was inaugurated by the vice chancellor of IGNOU, Dr. V.N Rajaseharan Pillai on 9th December 2007 at Samskrithi Bhavan Gpolane, Thiruvananthapuram currently the center offers MBA and MBF courses. Dr. C.N Purushothaman Nair act as the course co-coordinator.
