        The Vichara Kendram regularly organizes seminars and symposiums on various topics. Lectures by distinguished scholars and leaders are periodically organized on topics of regional and national importance. The important events organized by the Kendram include lecture series on the diverse streams of our freedom movement, seminar on "Aryan Inversion - A Myth"; An intensive course for students on Indian history, centenary celebration of Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago address, two day state level seminar on the socio-economic and cultural history of Kerala named ‘Changing face of Kerala’; National seminars on uniform civil code, An exhibition and seminar in observance of the 20th anniversary of imposition of national emergency, the Kerala Sanskrit Sammelam; Nila Vichara Sathram- a seminar on the ecological and cultural history of Bharathapuzha; State level workshop in connection with the golden jubilee celebrations of Indian Independece; History congress on Kerala and freedom struggle and state level seminar on historiography and methodology. A national seminar on “Research for National Resurgence” was held on August 2003 as a fitting finale to the two decades of work of Bharatheeya Vichara Kendram in promoting a nascent scientific and socio-political culture relevant to our country. Vice Chancellors, Academicians and other resourse personal from all over India attended the seminar. The seminar was cosponsored by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), UGC and various universities of Kerala.

        Numerous Scholars, Scientists, Saints and eminent personalities have associated themselves with the programmer of the Kendram, Swami Ranganathananda, Swami Chinmayananda,H.H. Dalai Lama, Poojaneeya K.Sudharshanji, Justice V.K Krishna Iyer, Sri. Sri. Ravisankar, L.K Advani, Dr. Bhai Mahavir, Justice Rama Joice, Dr. M.G.S Narayanan, Dr. Murali Manohar Joshi, Dr.G.Madhavan Nair, Sri. Michel Danino, Sri. Francois Gotiare, Arun Shourie, S. Gurumurthy, Dr. J.K Bajay, Dr. Kalyana Raman, Dr. E.C.H Sudharsan, Dr. Manoj Das, Dr.V.R. Panchamukhi, and so on.

       

       
    Propagation of the Bhagavad-Gita
       

        Vichara Kendram has taken the initiative to propagate Sanskirit, yoga and gita. Gita has been introduced as a panacea affecting the society especially to the youths. The Gita year celebrations were inaugurated in 1998,at the university senate hall, Thiruvananthapuram. More than 400 Bhagavad-Gita Gita Shibirs were organized in all over the state in which lakhs of youth were attended.


    An international seminar on “The Bhagavad-Gita-Gita and Modern Problems” was held on 7,8,9,10th December at Thiruvananthapuram. H.H Dalailama, Poojaneeya Sudharshanji, Dr. Bhai Mahavis, S.Gurumurthy, Dr. G.Madhavan Nair, P.Paramesvaran, Micheal Danino, Dr. V.N. RajaShekaran Pillai, Swami Prakasananda, Marthanda Varma Raja and many others attended the seminar.

      Library
         

          Vichara Kendram maintains a good reference library, named as “JNANESWARI”, with more than 15,000 books on various branches of Indio logy, as well as history, political science, philosophy, education, economics, management, Sanskrit etc. A large number of periodicals is subscribed by the library and maintains the back volumes. The library has all modern facilities including Internet and other IT assistance.

         

         
      Physical Facilities
         

          The Vichara Kendram owns its own campus situated in the heart of the capital city of Kerala-Thiruvananthapuram. Its headquarters maintains a five storied building of 25,000 sq.ft.It includes an A/C Conference Hall, Mini Seminar Halls, Accomodation Facilities, Class Rooms, Researchers Centre, Faculty Room, Library, Board Room, Media Centre, Dining Hall, Dormitory etc.
